What could be better than starting your day with your favorite beverage? It is an absolute staple that you have a beverage for breakfast. During the pre-1900s, breakfast was just a plain bowl of porridge with a cup of beer or cider and might be some fruits in the case of well-to-do families.

1. Coffee

This bitter yet endlessly yummy boost of caffeine is the perfect companion at the breakfast table. Some like it plain black and others with cream and sugar. Coffee is the most popular beverage consumed during breakfast in the world.

2. Tea

Sometimes all you need is a piping hot cup of tea. There are many varieties of tea available– green tea, ginger tea, black tea, matcha tea, milk tea, and more. Masala chai is one of the most exquisite breakfast beverages.

3. Iced tea

Yeah… People are ordering iced tea for breakfast as an alternative to hot tea. Unfortunately, there are not many options for iced tea as available in hot tea and herbal teas.

4. Orange juice

Orange juice is a universal classic. A glass of OJ with some bacon and eggs or French toast is quite tempting. This simple juice makes a perfect beverage for breakfast.

I doubt how many people wake up and have water with lemon for breakfast. It can’t get much simpler than a cup of water with floating lemon wedges. However, it is a healthy option to start your day hydrated.

8. Hot chocolate

There’s just something about a cup of hot chocolate on a fine morning. Each sip has a soft, thick, smooth, and enchanting comfort of chocolate.

9. Apple cider vinegar

It has uses other than being a vinaigrette. It helps to reduce fatigue and promotes overall health. Enjoy a glass of apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water and honey every morning.

10. Turmeric milk

Due to turmeric’s yellow color, it is popularly known as Golden Milk. Turmeric is not only good for the skin but also for immunity boosting. It is a healthy breakfast drink, especially during illness. Add 1 tsp of turmeric and a tsp of crushed ginger to a glass of milk. Drizzle some honey for sweetness.

Although it is uninteresting but has a nutritional value. A glass of milk provides you with a sufficient amount of calcium and potassium. Of course, if you don’t like the plain taste of milk, you can always add some sugar or honey.

12. Milkshake

Banana, oats, and peanut butter milkshake is my go-to breakfast when I don’t want to cook a hearty breakfast or calm down on the black coffee. There are multiple options when it comes to milkshakes.

13. Soy milk

It is the best alternative to dairy as it is lactose-free and healthy. You can add a bowl of oats, coffee, pancakes, and muffins.

14. Barley tea

It is made from roasted barley and is a staple in many East Asian countries. It is rich in antioxidants, helps with digestion, and is low in calories.
