Regular combing is an essential step. The first step that you need to add to your hair care routine is combing. Daily combing avoids deadlocks and frizzy hair. There are plenty of combs available in the market but a wide-toothed comb or hairbrush is best. This is because a wide-toothed comb gently removes the snarls and detangles the hair easily and prevents hair fall.

2. OILING

Oiling is the most important factor that determines how healthy and strong your hair will be. It prevents dryness and nourishes the scalp keeping it cool, and giving it the required nutrition. Dandruff is a common hair issue that is faced by most people but it is a lesser-known fact that oiling the hair helps to reduce dandruff. Oiling makes your hair shiny, smooth, and strong.

Exposure to UV radiation affects hair quality, but oiling the hair can help you protect your hair from the sun’s harmful rays. The best oils for hair include Onion, Coconut, Castor, Jojoba, Almond, and Lavender oil.

3. SHAMPOOING

Shampooing your hair removes excess dirt that is deposited in your scalp and even minimizes the dandruff issues. The right way of shampooing our hair is unknown to many. The water that should be used to wash hair should not be boiling hot or extremely cold as it damages the hair and makes them weak.

It also makes the hair frizz-free and shinier. The average time for leaving the conditioner on the hair should be three minutes and not less or more than that.

5. AVOID HEAT

Many hairstyles are possible with the help of easy-to-use hair tools such as hair straighteners and hair curlers. They might be successful in making your hair look good for a day or two but in the long run, their regular use makes your hair dry and unhealthy.

According to current studies, hair issues are increasing due to the increased use of heating tools. Excessive heating makes the hair dull, shabby and results in split ends. Thus, avoiding heat is a must step that should be taken if you wish to have long and healthy hair.

6. DIET

It is rightly said, “You are what you eat.” Having a healthy balanced diet is a prerequisite for having long and healthy hair. Consuming foods that are rich in proteins should be consumed. Minimizing the Junk intake should be ensured. Some healthy items include eggs, nuts, spinach, fish, sweet potatoes, avocados, berries, citrus fruits, green vegetables, and sweet peppers. Alcohol and smoking also affect hair quality.
